British National Curriculum

Al Jazeera Academy focuses on student achievement by offering the British National Curriculum. The British National Curriculum promotes high standards in student learning specifically in literacy, numeracy, and IT by providing a coherent, balanced curriculum. The emphasis of the curricular alignment is to not only enable schools to raise standards, but also to help learners meet the challenges of life in the evolving world.

Key Stage 3
Students from ages 11 to 14 (Years 7 to 9) follow Key Stage 3 of the National Curriculum.
Key Stage 3 compulsory National Curriculum subjects are:

  • History
  • Geography
  • Art and design
  • Physical education


Key Stage 4
Students from 14 to 16 (Years 10 and 11) follow Key Stage 4 of the National Curriculum.
Key Stage 4 includes, but is not limited to, the following subjects:

  • Art
